On the products displayed at the Auto Expo
Everything we are showing here
is new. Primarily we have been known as mechanical locks and mirrors company
but today if you see our products we are mostly into electronics. As per our
customer demand we are having a pro active approach from the development point
of view. All the mirrors, locks, security systems, handles, etc, we are
progressing very well.
On the company’s focus areas
Sandhar has never focussed on
after market. Sandhar was born and brought up on the platform of OEMs and we
are continuing to do so.
On the new format of the Auto Expo-Components Show
According to me, ever since
this show has been bifurcated into OEMs and Auto Components, it’s been good for
the components player. Only serious players are coming in. The components
industry is pretty happy with this bifurcation
On technology and if Sandhar is company ahead of the curve or still
waits for the OEMs to show it the way
Technology is basically driven
in two ways. One is through our own innovations, within our centre, the Sandhar
Centre of Innovation and Development. Second is, we are having some global tie
ups as well. So depending on customer
requirement and keeping cost as a prime driver and technology in front, we try
to offer solutions. In certain cases we are pro actively approaching customers
and in some cases customers are approaching us also.
