has announced the 6th edition of its signature event – The Himalayan Dash. The
luxury self-drive expedition from Shimla to Ladakh, will take place from July 5
to 14, 2015 and is targeted towards corporate executives and business owners
who are passionate about driving and are owners of premium cars and SUVs.
The expedition will involve
driving through the most scenic locations enroute and staying at the best accommodations
that the region has to offer. In order to maintain exclusivity, limited
participation slots are available and therefore an early registration is
recommended.
The Himalayan Dash 2015 will
bring together like-minded individuals and will offer them a perfect platform
for an unforgettable experience through the winding valleys of Leh-Ladakh. The
self-drive expedition integrates comfort and luxury of five-star care with the
thrill of a driving excursion through one of the highest motorable roads in the
world; with properties like the Oberoi Wildflower Hall in Shimla, Solang Valley
Resort in Manali, The Grand Dragon Ladakh in Leh and The Lalit Grand Palace in
Srinagar reserved for the participants, comfort is paramount and luxury the
watchword throughout the trip.
The cavalcade comprising
Nissans, Porsches, Audis, Mercedes, Mitsubishis and Volkswagens among others
will zoom through the scenic vistas of the old Hindustan-Tibet Road, drive
through the picturesque Baralacha La Pass following the Bhaga River, take on
the famed passes of Rohtang, Tanglang La and Khardung and traverse the
incredible Magnetic Hill, visiting various shrines, monasteries and other
places of interest along the way and absorbing the rich cultural and spiritual
heritage of the region.
Starting out from Shimla on
July 5, this 2,000 kilometre trip will take the participants through scenic
valleys and winding roadways, traversing Manali, Jispa, Sarchu, Pangong Tso
Lake, Leh, Hundar and Mulbeg before culminating in Srinagar on July 14. The
Himalayan Dash 2015 is conceptualised as a memorable eleven night deluxe
motoring experience, but the itinerary is flexible; participants with pressing
professional commitments may opt for shorter trips, with options to return from
Leh after the 6th or the 9th night.
