McLaren F1 has confirmed via their official twitter page that they will be showcasing their 2015 Formula 1 car the MP4/30 on Jan 29, 2015.
The showcase will be the first 2015 car to be revealed by any of the teams competing in the 2015 season. It will also be the first car to be revealed with the revised regulations of the front nose. This year is also the return for Honda to Formula 1 and a revival of the historical partnership between McLaren and Honda. In December 2014, McLaren had confirmed their driver line up of Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button, while retaining the Danish rookie Kevin Magnussen as their test and reserve driver.
The things that we are all excited to see is; firstly, will McLaren return to their white and red livery as they had during their previous venture in the sport? And secondly, leaving the Formula 1 paddock all together, these kind of Joint Ventures produce some of the greatest cars, for example the McLaren Mercedes SLR. So we may just see the development of the brand new Honda NSX with the joint venture with McLaren, exactly the same as the earlier NSX that was developed by Ayrton Senna during the earlier stint between the two companies in the 90s.
