For
the first time perhaps, a fashion show was held on a boat in Kerala’s scenic
backwaters in Allapuzha. The houseboat belonging to Lakeland Cruise was decked
up to accommodate the models. The fashion show was conducted by Fashionflamez,
a Bengaluru based company in Karnataka.
It
took quite an effort for Lakeland Cruise team to build a ramp on the large houseboat,
one which could also accommodate around 100 guests. The effort paid off as the
event was a great success, according to Biju Kosy of Lakeland Cruise. Koshy
noted that the fashion show on the boat began from Pallathuruthy and the boat
sailed through the scenic backwaters of Allapuzha.
Equally
elated was Jincy Mathew, CEO of Fashionflamez who said that the show was a
great success. Fashionflamez was born in 2019 in Bengaluru with a vision to
break stereotype fashion shows. “After a successful debut in Bengaluru Leela
palace, our second event was planned as a concept show for the 1st time in
India on water,” she said. She intends to do many more unique concepts with
fashion shows.
Fashionflamez

show saw five designers and 40 models setting the ramp on fire with exclusive
designs. The brand ambassador for the show was Ayanna Mathew who is a child
