Ahmedabad based Lightspeed Mobility has unveiled two new electric bicycles that come with pedal assist and a whole range of other features. It’s currently available in two variants, the LightSpeed Glyd and the LightSpeed Dryft. Glyd is any urban commuting bicycle while the Dryft is cut out for the adventure seeker in you.
The current batch of Glyd is available at Rs 27,999 and Dryft at Rs 37,999. Initially, it was priced at Rs 24,999 and Rs 34,999 respectively and was offered at this cost for the early funders who came forward to be the first ones to support these innovative eBikes.
These eBikes are currently being crowd funded on Fueladream.com which has become the defacto platform for raising funds for Ideas and Innovations in India. In the bikes category alone, Fueladream has raised close to Rs 1 croreto date.

The bikes come with chargeable batteries, a noiseless motor, a unique pedal boost assist and numerous other features that make riding the eBike not only a commute, but an experience.
The concept of the LightSpeed was thought up and fleshed out by Rahil, Rushad, Krishna and Murtaza. Glyd – The Urban Dream’ specifically caters to the cities. With a range of 35 km and a top speed of 25 kmph, it is perfect for a ride within the city. It has a 3 level pedal booster that gives the required support to the rider in all types of traffic conditions.
Dryft – The Adventure Companion’ is for the adventurous. It is the perfect eBike for the rocky terrain and the sharp twists and turns on uphill and downhill roads. It fits best both with mountain bikers as well as people who seek the urban thrill. It has a range of 50 km and a top speed of 25kmph and includes features such as 5 pedal boost and front shock absorbers!
