ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) launched a plethora of gaming oriented product at their 'Join The Republic' showcase held at IFA, Berlin. The highlight of the showcase being the ROG Chimera gaming laptop and ROG Strix XG35VQ curved monitor.
The ROG Chimera laptop is the world's first laptop to come with a 17.3 inch 144Hz display and a 7ms grey-to-grey response time. The display gets a FullHD resolution and also comes with G-SYNC technology. Powering the Chimera is an Intel Core i7 7820HK processor that goes up to 4.3GHz out of the box. To handle the latest AAA titles, the laptop has also been equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080. Another feature of the laptop is that it comes with a built-in Xbox Wireless and thus lets you connect your Xbox accessories to the laptop seamlessly.
The ROG Strix XG35VQ on the other hand is a 35 inch UWQHD (3440x1440) curved monitor that gets a 100Hz refresh rate and a 21:9 aspect ratio. It features Aura Sync lighting on the back that can be synchronized with in-game audio, or with Aura Sync-enabled PC components
Apart for these ASUS ROG also showcased other laptops including the ROG Zephyrus, ROG GX800, ROG Strix SCAR Edition, ROG Strix Hero Edition, ROG Strix GL503, GL703, ROG Strix GL702VI and ROG Strix GL702ZC. Along with these laptops ASUS also had a whole set of motherboards based on the latest X299 and X399 platforms.
