In the article we also mentioned that the Honor 8 Lite would be the first device to be treated with EMUI 5 and now the smartphone has been launched in India for a price Rs 17,999. The Honor 8 Lite boasts of specs like an octa-core Kirin 655 SoC with 4GB of RAM which combined with the memory management of EMUI5 is going to be plenty for heavy multitaskers. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and gets 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB. The phone gets a 3000mAh battery and various power saving modes to keep itself alive through the day. There is a beautiful 5.2 inch 1080p IPS display with dual edge 2.5D curved glass which combined with the sleek 7.6mm thickness of the phone makes for a very suave looking device.
For a generation that likes to capture every passing moment, there is a 12MP rear camera with BSI CMOS sensor, which allows for detailed shots even in the dark of night. The camera also has a faster focus time and a video editing function as well. The front gets an 8MP shooter that comes with a 77° selfie mode. Apart from that you also have the freedom to dive into a manual mode for a greater control over the various camera settings.
The Honor 8 Lite will be available on sale from May 12, 2017 and will be sold through offline channels. At the time of sale the device will be only available in Premium Black colour but a blue colour variant will follow soon. Honor has also increased the number of service centers it has across the country and is offering the Honor 8 Lite with a 15 month service warranty along with their door pick-up and drop service.
