Indian gaming fans are going to have a delightful time from 2nd to 5th of February as the first edition of India Gaming Show will be held at Pragati Maida, New Delhi. Here are 5 reasons why you should be visiting the event:
1) It is Free!
Yes you read that right! Entry to India's biggest gaming expo till date is absolutely free. I think it was a pretty wise move to make the event free since it is the first time that such an event is being held at such a big scale and for one sole purpose, to boost an industry which has been largely neglected despite it being at the core of our daily lives. On top of this, the event is being held at Pragati Maidan which means that most of the people can easily reach the place by hopping onto the metro.
2) If you are a gamer
It is more than obvious that this is the 'Auto Expo' for gamers thus it opens a whole new world for eSports and video game enthusiasts. It would also be a great opportunity to meet others with a similar taste and interest.
3) Interactive events
There are loads of things to do during this 4 day expo to keep you thrilled and busy. You can visit stalls of some very prominent names in the gaming industry, watch professional and top rated Indian teams while they have a 'go' at games like DOTA 2 and CS:GO, attend sessions which deal with technologies like Virtual reality and artificial intelligence.
4) Presence of prominent foreign companies
Even though this is the first iteration of the event, some really big and prominent names are going to showcase what they have to offer. Six countries are taking part in the event with Japan being the partner country and Korea acting as guest country. So if you do go to IGS then be prepared to come across names like Square ENIX, Konami, SEGA alongside HyperX, Samsung India, Asus and many more.
5) It could be the next big thing
India Gaming Show could very well be the next big event in league with E3, EGX, Comic Con etc but for that to happen the show needs to have a big audience to prove to the world that India does indeed hold great potential of consuming the gifts from the gaming sector and add to it as well. The fact that it is being backed by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. Of India only proves how seriously the India Gaming Show is being taken.
