Scania Commercial Vehicles
India Pvt.Ltd., a leading premium commercial vehicles and engines manufacturer,
showcased its premium mining tippers, the P 410 (8x4) coal body and P 410 (8x4)
SSAB rock body, at Excon 2015, the eighth edition of the International
Construction Equipment and Technology Trade Fair. Scania also showcased its
special aftermarket customer support applications and services like Fleet
Management Service (FMS), Scania lubricants and other genuine parts. Scania is
also enabling customers with convenient finance options to make purchase of
vehicles easier.
Anders Grundströmer, Managing
Director, Scania India and Senior Vice President, Scania Group, said: “Scania
is bullish on the Indian market, especially the mining sector, and we are
confident of growing further in the coming year. We have consistently delivered
best-in-class products embedded with the most advanced safety features, comfort
and quality, helping customers achieve increased operational efficiencies. Our
products are designed to withstand the toughest and most demanding mining
conditions. The Scania P 410 tippers are the most sought after products by
leading mining companies in India. As part of our unmatched aftermarket service
support to customers, delivered via our strong service points, we offer Scania
lubricants and genuine parts for superior vehicle performance and uptime”.
Scania P 410 8x4 tippers are a
great success in the Indian mining sector and are equipped with innovative
features like Scania Opticruise- a fully automated gear changing system for
best fuel efficiency and ease of driving, and Idle Shutdown- an optional
feature that further strengthens the Total Operating Economy by lowering fuel
consumption. Also the P 410 8x4 tipper equipped with 20 m3 SSAB rock body,
developed by SSAB, one of the world’s leading producers of high strength steel
is significantly lower in weight than the current offerings in the market,
hence with its increased load carrying capacity customers get significantly
higher productivity.
Scania lubricants comprise
engine oil, as well as axle and gear oil. These help in preventing sludge and
dirt adherence and offer protection from corrosion and wear and tear, leading
to longer service intervals and improved operating economies. Scania Fleet
Management Service (FMS) will help fleet operators monitor the vehicle and
driver performance in real time, resulting in enhanced safety, productivity and
uptime.
Scania is planning to double
its manufacturing capacity in India over the next five years and significantly
augment its employee base in the country. Scania’s core focus is to deliver
sustainable transport solutions in India by providing globally benchmarked,
best-in-class products and services to customers and by promoting the use of
alternative fuels.
