JK Tyre & Industries has
announced the commercial launch of the biggest ever tyre in India at this
year’s 12th International Mining & Machinery Exhibition in Kolkata. The
company also launched 18.00-25 VEM Smooth tyre underlining company’s aggressive
approach to enhance presence across industries and geographies.
VEM 045 which stands at 12 feet
height and weighs 3.7 tons, is specifically built for India’s biggest Rigid
Dump-truck having nominal payload capacity of 240 tons. The giant marks the
tyre maker’s aggressive strategy to ride on the expected growth across the
mining and infrastructure sectors in the coming months.

The second product launched by JK
Tyre , the 18.00-25 VEM Smooth, is a specialised product for reach-stacker
application to improve life and productivity. Its massive tread is designed to
optimised tread wear giving an exceptional longevity and mobility.
JK Tyres is the only company
running CRM Programme for fleets in the Indian Tyre Industry. It has been
providing Customised Tyre Management Solutions to Off-the-road Customers as
well, another first for the Indian tyre industry.
In the OTR tyre segment, JK Tyre
has always had a dominating presence. It is now producing an entire range of
ultra-large OTR tyres in India at its new state-of-the-art facility at Mysore.
