LeafyBus, a tech-enabled EV bus company based in New Delhi, has announced plans to deploy 50 electric buses over the next 12 months. The new fleet will operate across multiple routes in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab, with future expansion planned for Eastern and Southern India.
To support this expansion, LeafyBus has recently partnered with JBM Electric Vehicles (P) Ltd. This partnership will see LeafyBus procure a total of 200 electric buses from JBM, with 50 buses being introduced in the first 12 months and the remaining 150 to follow in the subsequent year. These buses are designed to meet the growing demand for better transportation options across India.
LeafyBus’ new electric buses offer a range of features designed to enhance passenger safety and comfort. The buses are equipped with CCTV surveillance and live tracking. Bus buddy who will always be there to help customers onboard. All buses adhere to safety standards with Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), while maintaining high standards of interior cleanliness to ensure a comfortable ride.
In addition, LeafyBus addresses the end-to-end consumer journey by offering a hassle-free travel experience for every customer segment. The new buses will have high-speed chargers taking inspiration from the best practices in the international market, and feature a larger battery size for long-range travel. With maintenance support across North India, the buses aim to deliver a premium and comfortable experience for passengers.
