NEW DELHI: It’s the age of the Nano. From Tata’s Small car Nano to Nano umbrellas, the list keeps increasing. Now a small scale manufacturer of sheet metal components has launched a nano-sized mobile compact carrier. Urastun Metal Industries Pvt. Ltd., a manufacturer of sheet metal components and assemblies recently introduced the world’s first fully indigenized 1 ton mobile compact carriers ‘Vector’ and ‘Odo’ in the Indian market.
The small Pick-&-Carry Crane Vector will provide affordable solutions for material handling, and have the capacity to handle loads up to 1000 kg, whereas ODO - a small fork lift will have the capacity to handle loads up to 1000 kg. The indigenized vehicles will also enable faster material movement at a considerably lesser price and more safety.
Urastun, which is the first company in the world to introduce compact carrier vehicles, has introduced the two vehicles to cater the needs of different small, medium and large industries, organizations, institutions that can benefit from it, since the vehicles support multiple applications.
Present at the unveiling ceremony Kamal Nath, Union Cabinet Minister for Road Transport and Highways said “The Utility vehicle market in India is growing rapidly as a market and is now clearly segmented small, medium and large categories. In this scenario the two new vehicles unveiled by Urastun are going to be a boon for every segment of industry and enable faster material movement at a considerably lesser price, with greater safety.”
