vehicle manufacturers in the country continued to show steady progress in their
domestic as well as exports for the month of April 2022
ASHOK LEYLAND: Leading commercial vehicle
manufacturer Ashok Leyland, part of the Hinduja Group, sold 11,47 units of trucks and buses in the month of April 2022.
The figure included domestic as well as exports.

Vehicles segment, Mahindra sold 17402 vehicles in April 2022 with growth of
23%. All the Light Commercial Vehicle Segments of <2T, Pickups (2T to 3.5T),
>3.5T and the heavy commercial vehicles continued their growth trajectory in
April 2022.

2022, including trucks and buses, stood at 12,069 units, compared to 6,466
units in April 2021. Total sales for MH & ICV Domestic & International
Business in April 2022, including trucks and buses, stood at 12,524 units
compared to 7,366 units in April 2021.

VE COMMERCIAL VEHICLES: VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (A Volvo
Group and Eicher Motors joint venture) recorded sales of 5525 units in April
2022 as compared to 2145units in April 2021recording a growth of 157.6%. This
includes 5416units of Eicher brand and 109 units of Volvo brand.
Following
are the key highlights for April 2022:

Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 5416units in April
2022as compared to 2096 units in April 2021representing a growth of 158.4%.
•
In the domestic CV market, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded
sales of 4766units in April 2022as compared to1555units in April 2021,
representing a growth of206.5%.
•
On the Exports front, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of
650units in April 2022 as compared to 541units in April 2021, representing a
growth of 20.1%
•
Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses have recorded sales of 109 units in April 2022 as
compared to 49 units in April 2021, representing a growth of 122.4%.
