Tata Motors which recently
introduced its new sub-brand – TAMO, an incubating centre of innovation working
towards new technologies, business models and partnerships in order to define
future mobility solutions, has now unveiled its start-up innovation – ‘RACEMO.’
The company also showcased the Tigor and the Nexon at the Geneva show. The
Tigor is powered by the Revotron 1.2L Petrol engine.
The Nexon Geneva Edition on
display is powered by a 1.5L diesel engine capable of modifying its
output with three drive modes
configuration. The car boasts of a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox for smoother
gear shifts, 17” classy alloy wheels, dual path suspension for superior ride
comfort, superior NVH characteristics along with ergonomically designed control
systems and an electric power assisted steering
Racemo is a two-seater, sports
coupe and it was launched at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show. Racemo
is a perfect blend of Italian sensuality and Indian ingenuity and is India’s
first globally developed ‘phygital’ car, merging the physical and digital
worlds.
Meant for the risk-taking,
adventure loving, digitally native, mobile first technophiles of India, the
Racemo is also India’s first connected car. It will bring alive connected car
features such as advanced navigation, predictive maintenance, remote monitoring
and over-the-air updates using Microsoft cloud-based technologies including
advanced analytics, internet of thing (IoT) and machine learning powered by
Microsoft Azure.
