The much awaited crossover based on the Honda Jazz platform, WR-V will be launched by the company on March 16, 2017. Honda Cars India Ltd. has commenced the pre-bookings of WR-V from all authorised Honda dealerships at a booking amount of Rs. 21,000.
Globally, Honda has chosen to manufacture and launch the WR-V first in India. The WR-V has been developed by Honda R&D India working in tandem with Honda R&D Co. Ltd. Japan. Dubbed as a Sporty Lifestyle Vehicle, the WR-V boasts of space, features and utility. The Honda WR-V also gets the 17.7cm DigiPad infotainment setup which was launched recently on the new 2017 Honda City facelift, thus giving the new WR-V multiple connectivity options such as 2 USB slots, 2 Micro SD slots, 1 HDMI slot, Bluetooth and Aux input, MirrorLink and WiFi integration to browse the Internet.

The new WR-V will also feature a newly developed 5-Speed manual transmission which will be mated to the 1.2L, i-VTEC, petrol engine. Honda is also offering the WR-V with a 1.5L, i-DTEC, diesel engine which has been mated to a 6-Speed manual transmission. At present Honda is not offering the WR-V with an automatic transmission, but may do so at a later stage.
