The iconic Jeep brand rolled out a petrol powered variant of their stellar SUV, the Wrangler Unlimited in the Indian market for Rs. 56 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The SUV is powered by a 3.6 litre V6 petrol engine.
The V6 motor is capable of turning 280bhp and a max torque of 347Nm. The Pentastar petrol V6 will join the Turbo Diesel variant which was launched last year in August, expanding the company's portfolio in the Indian market. More than 5 million vehicles globally are powered by this V6 petrol motor and its all aluminum construction has been designed with light weight components to keep over all weight at a minimum, delivering superior performance and capability both on and off road. The Pentastar V6 also features a new thermal management system as well as a cooled exhaust gas recirculation system which enables the SUV to deliver improved efficiency even in off road conditions.
The Wrangler Unlimited in its petrol version will get Jeep's Command Trac 4WD setup along with features like, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), a heavy duty suspension setup, automatic climate control, wash out interiors with removable carpets and drain plugs, auto headlamps, hill start control, electronic rollover mitigation, remote keyless entry and much more.
