Maruti Suzuki will be launching its latest product, the
Ignis in the country on January 13, 2017 and will be targeted at the
millennials of the country. The Ignis is not just an ordinary hatch, nor is it
an SUV, it’s just a Premium Urban Compact Vehicle for the millennials, says RS
Kalsi, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki Ltd talking
about the soon to be launched vehicle. The car will be launched exclusively
through Nexa outlets in the country.
Kalsi noted that millenials are driving car purchase in this
country and in the last six years the demand from them has grown by 22.7pc. The
car has strikingly fresh and masculine looks with bold wheel arches with clads,
while the projector head lamps with LED DRLs, fog lamps with chrome inserts and
all black alloys add to the style quotient.
The car will come in two engine variants—a 1.2 litre petrol
and a 1.3 litre diesel with option of both a manual as well as automatic
transmission. The vehicle gets a diesel Auto Gear Shift (AGS) in addition to
the petrol AGS. Step inside the Ignis and you get to see a distinctive floating
layered dash board design in dual tone (black and ivory), cockpit inspired
console panel, carbon fibre textured louvers and interior accents matching the
body colour. The car carries the signature Suzuki progressive triad mark on the
exterior.
So as to make the millennials comfortable inside the car,
the Ignis comes equipped with both Android and iOS compatible smart phone
linkage display audio system. The tablet like entertainment system along with
toggle switches for various controls makes the car uber in every sense. The
Ignis comes equipped with dual air bags and ABS with EBD. Ahead of regulations,
it is also complaint for pedestrian safety, side, rear and off set regulations.
It also gets Isofix anchorage, a child seat restrain system.
