The iconic Mini brand launched their Clubman premium hatchback for the Indian market at a starting price of Rs. 37,90,000 (ex-showroom). The Clubman is the flagship product of the Mini and will be available in dealerships across the country as a Completely Built-Up unit (CBU). The Clubman is one of the biggest Mini vehicles and the most sophisticated one yet from the British auto maker.
The Clubman is powered by a 2.0 litre, 4 cylinder, Twin Turbo engine which makes 192hp and a peak torque of 280Nm. The engine helps propel the hatch from 0-100kmph in just 7.2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 228kmph. The engine has been mated to an 8-speed automatic Steptronic transmission which is available on a mini for the first time. The Clubman also gets an optional sports automatic Steptronic transmission along with paddle shifters for a sportier ride. The hatch comes with various drive modes for comfort, sports and efficiency.
The hatch offers go-kart like driving performance and a very planted ride. At the front the car features LED headlamps with an unmistakable Mini design running seamlessly from front to back. The Clubman also gets Mini's distinct rear split doors and LED tail lamps. The car also features electrically adjustable front seats with a memory function, 6.5 inch infotainment setup, panoramic sunroof and nine upholstery options apart from a host of other handy functions like cruise control, rear view camera, park assist and HUD (Heads Up Display). On the safety front the vehicle gets front and passenger airbags, brake assist, 3-Point seat belts, Dynamic Stability Control, crash sensor, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), cornering brake control and run-flat Indicator.
