One of the fastest growing luxury brands in
India, Mercedes Benz launched two new cabriolets, C-Class and S-Class, in the
capital today. The new additions will join the previously launched E-Class
cabriolet in the Mercedes open top line up. The range topping S-Class cabriolet
has been launched for Rs. 2.25 crore (ex-showroom Delhi), while the entry level
C-Class cabriolet has been launched for Rs. 60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The S-Class cabriolet is powered by a
4663cc, V8 engine which can propel the vehicle from 0-100kmph in just 4.6
seconds and reach a top speed of 250kmph. The C-Class cabriolet gets a 1991cc,
in-line, 4 cylinder engine which puts out 245hp and 370Nm of torque. It is
capable of reaching a top speed of 250kmph and can do 0-100kmph in 6.4 seconds.
The V8 engine in the S-Class cabriolet churns out a blistering 700Nm of torque
and 455hp.

C-Class cabriolet gets Dynamic Select drive modes -- Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport
Plus and Individual. Its engine comes mated to a 9G-Tronic transmission
featuring 9 forward gears. The vehicle also features a 2-door sporty design,
dual section LED tail lamps, diamond radiator grille, large air intakes and 17
inch, 5-twin spoke alloys. The C-Class cabriolet takes upto 20 seconds for the
soft top to fold down and can be done upto 50kmph. The
C-Class Cabriolet features upholstery in leather, a leather multifunction
steering wheel, electrically adjustable driver's seat, ambient lighting, AIRCAP,
Multimedia System with Touchpad and GARMIN Map Pilot and many other safety and
driver aides.

S-Class offers customers a AirMatic suspension, Flat LED tail lamps, soft top
retraction in 17 seconds, Nappa leather, AIRCAP, automatic climate control,
active park assist with 360 degree camera, heads up display, touchpad
integration for the infotainment setup, Burmester 3D surround sound system,
seat massager, LED intelligent light system, Night View Assist among other
safety features.
