Luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz
India launched for the first time, a petrol variant of its highest selling SUV,
the GLE. The GLE 400 4Matic has been launched with a powerful V6 petrol engine
by Roland Folger, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India and will be
available across Mercedes-Benz dealerships. The car is priced at Rs. 74.90 lakh
(Ex-showroom, New Delhi)
The Mercedes GLE 400 4Matic
engine is a V6 with a total displacement of
2996cc and generates 333 hp @
5250-6000 rpm. The vehicle achieves a top speed of 247kmpl. Peak torque is 480 Nm available at
as low as 1600 rpm The engine is mated
to a 7G-Tronic Plus transmission. The fuel tank has a capacity of 93 litres.
The GLE 400 4Matic is the 7th
car to be launched this year by Mercedes-Benz India and is offered as a CBU. Customers
in India now have a choice between petrol and diesel variants for their SUV. The
SUV comes with five modes for driving. The five modes of Comfort, Sport,
Slippery, Individual and Off-road enable enthusiasts to make the best of every
ground
The GLE 400 features the Apple
CarPlay as standard and a Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system that
provides 360 degree acoustic experience in every seat
