Mercedes-Benz
India has introduced the new C 250 d for Rs. 44,36,000 (ex-showroom Pune). The car
will be offered in two variants -- C 200 and C 220 d. The C-Class has been one of the highest
selling cars for Mercedes-Benz in India. The C 250 d also enters the Indian
market as one of the fastest and most powerful vehicles in the segment.
Mercedes will also introduce the 9G-TRONIC transmission in the C- Class.
The
new C 250 d boasts of sophisticated luxury and sportiness. The car is powered
by a 4-cylinder diesel engine which is one of the most powerful and fastest engines
in the segment. The engine also features an ECO start/stop facility which will
aid fuel efficiency. The diesel mill produces 201bhp @ 3800rpm and a maximum
torque of 500Nm from 1600-1800 rpm. The C 250 d also features LED Intelligent
Light System, Reversing camera with 180° view, Attention Assist, Active Parking
Assist with Parktronic, Garmin MAP PILOT and LED Intelligent Light System (ILS)
which can automatically adjusts headlamps based on weather conditions, lighting
and driving conditions for ideal visibility in different situations. On the safety
front the car boasts of standard safety features like ABS, BAS, ESP, ASR and
Hill Start Assist as well as Attention Assist which warns the driver if it senses
signs of drowsiness in steering behaviour.
The
new C 250 d also comes with 17 inch 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels which painted in
Vanadium Silver finish. The car also gets ambient lighting as a standard
feature. On offer are three different colours and five dimming levels to enhance
the personalised feel of the interior. Customers can choose between three
ambient lighting colours -- Solar (amber), Polar (ice blue), Neutral (white).
