launched at the individual company stalls at the Auto Expo.”
Describing it as a ‘unique and special show’,

being locally competitive to be globally competitive, our relationship must
graduate from being transactional to a symbiotic one,” he added.
Audi India: Highlights at Auto Expo 2016
Audi is expected to showcase the new R8. The
2nd generation, sporty spearhead all new Audi R8 will be unveiled at Auto Expo.
Made to race, the new R8 shares around 50pc of its parts with the racing spec
R8 LMS. Coupled with the standard quattro all-wheel-drive, performance is
enhanced and road-holding is simply impeccable. The company will also showcase
the Audi A8 L Security. Showcased at IAA 2015, the Audi armoured security sedan
is now even more robust and the vehicle is certified to the requirements of
resistance class VR 9. The car has been tested for resistance to explosive
charges in accordance with the ERV 2010 guideline. Previously, the A8 L
Security fulfilled resistance class VR 7. The company manufacturers each order
entirely under its own supervision in a partnership between the Neckarsulm
plant and a secure, top-secret factory. Thanks to the high share of aluminum in
the body, the vehicle’s weight is relatively low. Nonetheless, it can handle a
maximum payload of 600 kg (1,322.8 lb), which is the best figure in the
competitive field. The entire chassis and the quattro permanent all-wheel drive
are specifically designed to meet the high security requirements.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
The much awaited “compact SUV”
from Maruti Suzuki will be called Vitara Brezza. The global unveil of Vitara
Brezza will take place at Delhi Auto Expo in early February. Brezza, Italian
for “fresh breeze”, will be launched in the Indian market a few weeks after the
Delhi Auto Expo.
The first sketch of Vitara
Brezza points to a stylish compact SUV that is confident and energetic,
designed to especially appeal the urban SUV customer. On the exterior, the
designer has captured the essence of an SUV profile and infused it with the
dynamism of urban vehicles.
Several elements in the
exterior design impart a distinct character to the Brezza. In the words of the designer: “Balanced proportion
supported by square wheel arches, short overhangs, high ground clearance and
upright hood gives the vehicle a confident stance. The raising belt and rocker
lines, and the roofline that slopes down gently towards the rear give the
vehicle a dynamic posture.” Drawing our attention to the nuances, the designer
says: “The body surfaces are natural and sculpted tastefully to create the
right interplay of highlight and shadow. Instantly recognizable floating roof
over the wraparound greenhouse adds to the visual drama, and makes the Brezza
standout in the crowd.”
