Lamborghini has launched the all new rear wheel driven Huracán in India for Rs. 2.99 Cr. (ex-showroom Delhi).
This is the most affordable Lamborghini money can buy today. Powered by the same 5.2 Litre V10 engine that has been toned down to produce 580bhp all sent to the rear 2 wheels with 540Nm of torque, hence the name LP 580-2. Mated to a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox 0-100kmph is done in just 3.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 320Kmph.
“We are delighted to be unveiling the Huracán LP 580-2 in India within just three days of its global launch,” Pavan Setty, Head, Lamborghini India, said. “We strongly believe that India has customers who enjoy intense driving with maximum fun, which the new offering will deliver seamlessly. This is the purist expression of Huracan till date with class leading technological refinements designed to deliver sheer performance” he added.
The new Huracán has an entirely new power management set-up, encompassing modified suspension, new steering set-up and recalibrated stability and traction controls connects the driver as directly as possible with the road. The selectable Lamborghini driving modes STRADA, SPORT and CORSA are tuned to provide oversteering characteristics, emphasising authentic rear-wheel drive behavior.
As in the other Huracán models, the LP 580-2 features “cylinder deactivation” to improve engine efficiency. When full engine capacity is not required, five of the ten cylinders are temporarily deactivated by switching off one cylinder bank.
The car is also fitted with Gyro sensors which measure the Pitch, Roll and Yaw of the car so you can take the car through any corner at any desired speed and the suspension will work its way around.
The new baby Lambo is now available in all three Lamborghini dealers in India - Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore for Rs. 2.99 crore.
