The new BMW M6 Gran Coupé was
launched in the country and the petrol variant is available at an
ex-showroom price of Rs 1,71,00,000.The new BMW M6 Gran Coupé is
available at BMW dealerships across India as
a CBU (Completely Built-Up) unit. The exterior features signature M
design characteristics such as the eye-catching front apron with large air
intakes, new Adaptive LED headlights and M-specific double-bar kidney grille.
The powerfully sculpted front
wings with hallmark M grills, the side skirts and the exclusive forged M
light-alloy wheels further enhance this impression. The sporty look is rounded
off by a rear apron with integrated diffuser insert, two sets of M-specific
twin tailpipes and the M6 logo on the boot lid. Another exclusive M feature is
the ultra-lightweight contoured carbon roof, which also helps to lower the
vehicle’s centre of gravity visually.
The door sill finisher with M
logo, the perfectly contoured seats, the bespoke colour combinations of
upholstery, the premium ambience; all captivate the exclusivity of the
interior. Everything in the BMW M6 Gran Coupé is geared towards one thing: the
driver. The latest M cockpit technology has striking features such as the
multifunction M leather steering wheel; the M centre console which is inclined slightly towards the driver and has
controls for different M driving dynamics systems and the instrument cluster
display.
A through-loading hatch and
60:40-split folding rear seatback further provide for excellent everyday
usability. The M Twin Power Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine is the crowning
glory of the M power units. Its enormous power of 560 hp (412 kW) and 680 Nm is
available at all times thanks to the innovative TwinScroll turbocharging concept.
The M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol
engine demonstrates that power and efficiency are by no means mutually
exclusive with the intelligent BMW EfficientDynamics technologies. Together,
these make for an average fuel consumption of just 10.10 km per litre of petrol.
The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 4.2 seconds and top speed is 250 km/h. The
engine’s power is transferred to the rear wheels via a seven-speed M Double
ClutchTransmission with Drivelogic. Drivelogic also includes adjustable shift
characteristics, a Low Speed Assistance system with a crawl function for
increased comfort in stop-and-go traffic
and a Launch Control system. Motor sport-style shift paddles directly on the
steering wheel allow the driver to engage all seven gears without having to
lift off the accelerator.
The new BMW M6 Gran Coupé also
features two M Drive buttons on the steering wheel for pre-programmed
configurations for either a sporty or a comfortable drive.

driver assist systems and services. These include the next generation of BMW
iDrive (the on-board Driver Information System) with touch controller, BMW
