New Tata Safari Storme for Rs 9.99 lakh onward

Tata Motors has launched a new Safari Storme loaded with new performance and connectivity features.  The vehicle will cost Rs Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) onward.

The new Safari Storme has a 2.2 L Varicor engine which produces 148bhp and delivers an improved low end torque and a peak torque of 320Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Other features include a new Integrated Connectnext infotainment system by Harman, Stylised Java Black interiors with silver accents, a new Tata Signature multi-function steering wheel and an ultrasonic reverse parking sensors. The upper and lower front grill too has changed to give it a more aggressive look.

The vehicle comes in both a 4X4 as well as 4X2 version. In the 4X4 model, it has an Electronic Shift on-Fly. The vehicle has a ground clearance of 200 mm. As for comfort and safety, the SUV comes with dual air-conditioning, with built-in rear vents for all-round cooling, Airbags for the top end VX variants and ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) & EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution).  Crumple zones, side intrusion beams on all four doors, dual SRS airbags and the collapsible steering column keeps passengers safe from all sides.

In an exigency, the inertia switch automatically cuts off the fuel supply to the engine, unlocks all the doors and also switches on the hazard warning lights, warning other road users. The vehicle’s projector headlamps come with PES (Poly Ellipsoid System) Rings.
