GM India has announced that it will introduce the Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV in 2015 and Spin multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in 2016. The news was originally shared with GM India dealers during their annual meeting in Bangkok on February 13.
In a press release, Arvind Saxena, president and managing director, General Motors India noted that “GM India’s focus is on significantly expanding its presence in the Indian market by enriching its products, quality and the entire purchasing experience.” “Our dealers are a big part of ensuring that Chevrolet builds customers for life,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Chevrolet Trailblazer is currently being sold in some of the Southeast Asian countries, South Africa and Saudi Arabia. It is sold in Australia as the Holden Colorado. The vehicle is powered by a powerful Duramax Diesel engine. One is a 2.5 litre engine, while the other is a 2.8 litre engine. The SUV comes with a whole range of luxury features.
The Chevrolet Spin, on the other hand is a Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) engineered and produced by Chevrolet in Brazil, Indonesia and Thailand. “We recognise the growth potential of India and are focused on the fundamentals to ensure long-term sustainability,” said Jacoby, adding that “We know that begins by offering high quality, exciting and competitive products for our customers.”
