Porsche unveiled the new 911 Targa 4 GTS and Cayenne Turbo S at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. The new Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS has combined the successful GTS idea with the classic Porsche Targa concept. It has a more powerful engine which produces 430 bhp and the standard Sport Chrono package yields a better performance. The other features on the 911 Targa 4 GTS include matte black 20-inch centre lock wheels, sport design front end, black air intakes, GTS logos on the doors, at the rear and on the Targa bar. On the inside the car has a black Alcantara on the steering wheel and seats which creates a sporty flair along with the trim accents finished in black brushed aluminum.
The latest generation Cayenne has a new engine charging concept with the turbochargers integrated into the exhaust manifolds. The power output of the Cayenne Turbo S has increase to 570 hp, which is 20 hp more than the previous version of the SUV. The SUV’s maximum torque has increased to 799.9Nm enabling increased performance. The SUV’s twin-turbo engine has a better throttle response thanks to the new turbochargers.
Ever since Porsche introduced the Type 356 in the 1950s, the company has appealed to a very broad-minded customer base with its vehicles in the USA. The United States has traditionally been the largest global market for Porsche and in 2014, around one-third of all vehicles it produced were delivered to US customers. On the 50th anniversary of the 911 Targa, Porsche is offering this very popular model in a more powerful and exclusive GTS version for the first time. The concept of the 911 Targa 4 GTS has an all-wheel drive and a Targa top.
The 911 Targa 4 GTS has a 430bhp GTS engine, standard Sport Chrono package, PASM chassis, 20-inch centre lock wheels and sport exhaust system. The power to weight ratio with the 430bhp engine has been improved to less than 8 pounds per horsepower enabling the 911 Targa 4 GTS to reach a top track speed of over 299.3 kmph while propelling the vehicle from 0-100kmph in 4.1 seconds. The Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS will be launched in the United States in late-April 2015. The price tag on the 911 Targa 4 GTS stands at Rs. 82,75,432.
The Cayenne Turbo S has a re-engineered 4.8-litre V8 twin-turbo engine which now develops 570bhp and 799Nm of torque. The chassis of the SUV has been tuned for maximum driving performance and offers a range of control systems making it one of the best performing SUVs in the market. The Cayenne Turbo S accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 3.8 seconds which is 0.4 seconds faster than the previous model of the car. Its top track speed is now 283 kmph. Some of the standard features of the Cayenne Turbo S are 21-inch wheels in distinctive 911 Turbo design with black painted edges, LED headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus), full-leather interior with Porsche logo embossed on all head restraints, as well as interior carbon accents. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S will be launched in the United States in late-April 2015. The price tag for the Cayenne Turbo S stands at Rs. 98,02,149
