Mercedes-Benz
AMG has globally launched a limited edition called the SL 63 AMG and the SL 65
AMG 2LOOK Edition with more power, better styling and a touched up interior
exclusively for these cars.
From mid-June
the SL 63 AMG will be provided with an engine producing 585 hp and 900nm of
torque and the SL65 AMG 2LOOK Edition will feature a twinturbo 6 litreV12
producing 630 hp with 1000 nm of torque. Both cars have been electronically
limited to 402kmph. The previous variant which coughed up 537 hp has been
discontinued, along with the AMG Performance package and 564 hp. The AMG rear
axle locking differential is included as standard on the SL 63 AMG with
immediate effect. But the features from the previous performance package are
still available as exclusive optional equipment items from the Performance
Studio.
The 2LOOK
Edition will include some exterior changes like a vario-roof, the exterior
mirror housings, the fins on the wings and bonnet, the cross-strut in the AMG
front apron, LED daytime running lamps, spoiler lip on the tail end and the
diffuser insert in the AMG rear apron all finished in high-gloss black. Further
highlights are the red-painted brake calipers hidden behind large
Edition-specific 19-inch or 20-inch AMG 10-spoke forged wheels in matt black
and featuring a high-sheen finish.
The interior
has been tweaked where the driver and passenger sit in AMG sports seats and
contrasting trim in designo platinum white pearl nappa leather. The same leather
is use on the doors and the centre armrest. The exclusive feel is continued on
the steering wheel being wrapped in the same leather/Alcantara. The two-tone look is defined by designo trim
in black piano lacquer or no cost option of carbon fiber.
The SL 63 AMG
2LOOK Edition will cost € 169,991.50 (approx. INR 1,38,66,228) and the SL 65
AMG 2LOOK Edition will be priced at around € 244,188.00 (approx. INR 1,99,17,346).
