Mercedes-Benz India has launched the eagerly awaited 2014 S-Class luxury car at a price of Rs 1.575crore (ex showroom Delhi). Considered as one of the best luxury car on the planet, 125 units were already sold-out before the launch of the vehicle. “The launch of the S-Class commences our ‘Year of Excellence’ in the Indian market. The new S-Class brings together luxury, design and technology that meet the highest standards of perfection, surpassing expectations for a vehicle of this class”. The 2014 S-Class is powered by a 4.6 litre V8 engine mated to a 7G-Tronic Plus 7-speed automatic transmission.
The all-new S-Class comes equipped with all LED lighting systems, both for the exterior and the interior, with the interior getting seven colour ambient lighting. As always the S-Class comes packed with technology such as the new COMAND online with animated 3D menus, a hard disk to store music, WLAN hotspot and a 1,540 watt 24 speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system to name a few. The seats now offer hot stone massage function with 14 air chambers which develop wave like massage effect. Mercedes-Benz will also be offering complimentary ‘Chauffeur training’ for chauffeurs of its new S-Class customers to make them aware of the features of the vehicle and improve upon their soft skills for the complete luxury experience for the owners.
