There is no stopping the Hyundai Elite i20 when it comes to popularity and consumer preference. The newly launched all-new Elite i20 and has set a new benchmark in the premium hatchback segment when it received 15,300 bookings in a mere 20 days. The 2nd generation Hyundai Elite i20 made its world premiere on August 11, 2014. Incidentally, cars from its stable like the Grand received 10,000 bookings in 20 days and Xcent registered 11,000 bookings in 30 days.
Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP, Sales & Marketing- HMIL said his company was overwhelmed by the customers strong appreciation and acceptance of the new Elite i20 making it a huge success. He said this is the company’s fifth sequential successful product launch highlighting the customer confidence in the Hyundai’s aspirational brand value and products. “The demand of Elite i20 has doubled and we are working towards increasing its production to reduce the waiting period for faster deliveries so as to delight the customers,” he said.
The Elite i20 offers a mileage of 18.60 kmpl (Era/Magna - ARAI Certified) 1.2 Dual VTVT Kappa petrol and a mileage 22.54 kmpl (Era/Magna - ARAI Certified) for the powerful and refined 2nd Generation U2 1.4 CRDi diesel engine.
Srivastava added that the Elite i20 received 15,300 bookings and generated 79,200 enquiries within 20 days of the launch.
