Mercedes-Benz India announced its participation at the upcoming ‘Bharat Mobility Show 2024’ in New Delhi. Mercedes-Benz will showcase an exciting product range comprising concept and production SUVs, underlining the brand’s aim of creating ‘desire for iconic luxury’, and continuing its product offensive for the Indian market in 2024. The product lineup will comprise Mercedes-Benz’s formidable SUV portfolio comprising the Concept EQG, the GLA and the AMG GLE 53 Coupe.
Mercedes-Benz’s product showcase will be at Hall No H1 01 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi from February 1st to 3rd, 2024. Mercedes-Benz has an aggressive BEV roadmap for the Indian market with three new BEVs planned for 2024. The star attraction from Mercedes-Benz at Bharat Mandapam, the Concept EQG, highlights the increasing focus on electric mobility for the Indian market. The G Wagon is a timeless and iconic off-road legend that has transcended decades, maintaining its status as a symbol of luxury and rugged capability, now in an electric avatar. Mercedes-Benz India will also showcase key products like the GLA and AMG GLE 53 SUVs during the three-day mobility show.
Concept EQG: The timeless and iconic off-roader G Wagon will be showcased in its all-electric avatar– the EQG. Unveiled in 2021 as a concept at the Munich Motor Show, the EQG is all set to enthrall the attendees with its iconic design and futuristic elements. The iconic SUV, which has remained true to itself for more than 40 years, will now step into the future of electric mobility.
The Concept EQG is Mercedes-Benz’s presentation of a near-production study of an all-electric model variant of its utilitarian off-road icon. The Concept EQG combines its iconic origin and uncompromising off-road capabilities with futuristic elements of the Mercedes-Benz world. Visually, the concept car combines the unmistakably striking look of the G-Class with selected design elements, typical of all-electric models from Mercedes as contrasting highlights.
The 4x4 qualities of the "G", which have always set the highest standard, will not only find their way into the age of electric mobility, but will be developed further in some areas. The Concept EQG thus offers a promising preview of what a Mercedes-Benz G-Class with battery-electric drive will be capable of. It feels more at home on difficult terrain than anywhere else. Thanks to the pulling power of its electric all-wheel drive and its low center of gravity, the Concept EQG is optimally prepared for adventures of the future.
The origins of the legendary G-Class model date back to 1979. For more than four decades, the "G" has thus embodied the luxury off-road vehicle from Mercedes-Benz. The exterior appearance of the Mercedes-Benz off-road legend has changed only marginally over the entire period. Even as part of the extensive redesign in 2018, which brought with it the biggest technological leap in the model's history, Mercedes-Benz only cautiously developed the unmistakably striking design further.
