Hyundai Motor India commenced production of the Hyundai Exter from HMIL’s plant in Sriperumbudur near Chennai, on June 23, 2023.

The Hyundai Exter embodies the true outdoors with a contemporary and unique take on SUV design. The parametric front grill and H-Signature LED DRLs highlights the SUV’s bespoke appeal. Hyundai Exter creates a benchmark for customer safety by being equipped with 6 Airbags (Driver, Passenger,Curtain& Side) as standard across all trims and offering 26 Safety Features across all variants and as an option on entry trims (E&S).
The Hyundai Exter will come with 1st in segment features including a Smart Electric Sunroof and an inbuilt Dashcam with Dual Camera. Hyundai Motor India’s first micro-SUV will also feature 60+ connected features via Hyundai Bluelink making it the segment’s most connected SUV. The all-new Hyundai EXTER is scheduled for a launch on July 10, 2023.
