Jeep Meridian 7 seater premium SUV introduced; Bookings start in May 2022

The Jeep Meridian is powered by a 2.0L turbo diesel 9 speed automatic/6 speed manual powertrain. The company did not say whether a petrol variant will be introduced by the company soon. The Meridian will be available in 4X4 all-wheel drive as well as a 4X2 variant. Deliveries of the all-new Jeep Meridian will start by June 2022 and will arrive in Jeep brand dealerships across India by mid- May.

The Jeep Meridian is built on a robust platform that offers a multitude of intrinsic attributes, that improves handling, steering, and even mitigates body roll. The body in white is composed of 63% hot stamped parts and high strength steel that provide greater rigidity, reduced noise and vibration and unmatched safety for its occupants. The Jeep Meridian also features completely independent front and rear suspension with Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) technology, which is a first in its segment and helps preserve composure, as well as a Hydraulic Rebound Stopper (HRS) that smooths out bumps and road imperfections, resulting in greater performance, ride comfort, and overall a composed Driving Dynamics in all conditions.

Jeep has maintained a high priority on safety, the Jeep Meridian boasts a total of 6 airbags, including sophisticated pretensioners in the driver and passenger front seatbelts as standard across all variants.

Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA), Fading Brake Support (FBS), Ready Alert Brake (RAB), Rain Brake Assist (RBA), Hill Start Assist (HAS), and Automatic Vehicle Hold (AVH) are some of the 60+ Active and Passive Safety & Security features that distinguish Jeep's latest offering from its competition.

Design and Class

The Jeep Meridian carries the authentic Jeep DNA, striking a balance between an adventurous persona and sophistication. The rear silhouette and horizontal bar also match the robust muscles and sophistication of the taillights' signature. In addition, the Jeep DNA can be seen in every detail, such as the traditional seven slots grille, trapezoidal wheel arches, ramp angles and ground height that characterize the breadth and imposingness of the Meridian's personality.

The interior is designed to deliver a high level of refinement, which can be seen even in the seats, made in perforated McKinley leather. In addition to being a visual refinement, the mix of materials also brings an unparalleled feeling of softness and comfort.

With the best design and elegant aesthetics, the Jeep Meridian is adorned with a sleek headlamp design with an LED projector, LED reflector Headlamps, Built-in LED DRL/turn indicator, and supplementary LED High beam which enhances the light expanse on the road as it spans 33m of coverage, assuring that blind spots or corners will be lit up and therefore safer at night.

To complete the ultimate onboard experience, the Jeep Meridian comes with Uconnect 5 system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, powered by 9 high definition Alpine Sound System offering a deeper bass range. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 360° Camera System and a 10.25-inch Digital Driver Information Display (DID) offers convenience to the occupants
