GM India has launched the updated 2014
Chevrolet Cruze, which is the brands flagship saloon in the country. Already
racking up healthy sales volume, the Cruze has been a hit since its launch in
2009. The new Cruze is now more efficient with the introduction of a new
6-speed Gen2 automatic transmission, and returns 14.81kmpl as per ARAI.
The engine is the same 2.0 litre VCDi unit
producing 164bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 380Nm, also available
with a 6-speed manual transmission which gives a fuel efficiency figure of
17.30kmpl.
Prices for the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze start
at Rs 13.70lakh for LT variant with manual transmission, Rs 15.19lakh for LTZ
with manual transmission, and Rs 16.20lakh for the top-of-the-line LTZ with
automatic transmission.
GM India has added turn indicators on the
outside rear view mirrors (OVRMs) as standard fitment. On the style front,
changes are made to the front and rear bumpers, headlamps get new dual bezel
design and the fog lamps get a dash of chrome surround.
