Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) received around 11,000 bookings for its recently launched compact sedan ‘Xcent. These bookings were recorded across the country within just 30 days of its national launch in March 2014.
Post the launch of Xcent in the Indian market, Hyundai had over 100,000 enquiries at dealerships across all regions and most dealerships are recording multiple enquires and test drive requests. Xcent has generated high interest level amidst the young families in metros as well as Tier II cities, said a company statement..

TheXcent’s 2nd generation U2 CRDi diesel engine is a combination of optimum performance along with high fuel efficiency of 24.4 kmpl (ARAI). The U2 engine offers stress less acceleration in city and highway driving conditions along with low emission and NVH levels. The linear power delivery and flat torque over wide range of rpm’s ensure smooth and jerk free drive. Also the all-aluminum 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine comes with Dual VTVT mechanism and delivers optimum engine performance with best-in-class mileage of 19.1 kmpl (ARAI figure).
