Hyundai Motor India has launched the all new Aura sedan car. The vehicle which will have three different engine options, a BS 6 1.0 litre T-GDI petrol, a 1.2 litre MPI petrol BS 6 engine and an all new 1.2 litre BS 6 Ecotorq diesel engine. The Hyundai Aura is priced at Rs.5,79,900 (ex showroom India) onward. Price of the Hyundai Aura variants are given below:

The all new sedan was launched in the presence of SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India and other senior company officials in New Delhi. Adopting a design language of ‘Sensuous sportiness’, the all new Aura sedan comes with a premium satin front grille with projector headlamps and fog lamps, besides outside door chrome handles. The car has a length of 3995mm, a width of 1680mm and a height of 1520mm. It has a wheelbase of 2450mm.

The Aura has a coupe like styling with solid wheel arches, two unique character lines and R 15 diamond cut type alloy wheels. It has a distinctive rear design with emphasis on wide stance, robust sporty bumper design and Z-shaped LED tail lamps with three dimensional outer lenses. Additionally, it has trunk lid garnish of chrome strip and glossy black wrap around.
The all new Aura has three engine options and comes with an Automated Manual Transmission. The 1.2 litre Kappa BS 6 petrol engine produces a peak power of around 82hp@6000rpm and a peak torque of 113.76Nm@4000rpm. This engine is mated to either a 5 speed manual transmission or an AMT. This model gives a fuel efficiency of 20.50kmpl for the MT and 20.10 kmpl for the AMT.
The 1.2 litre Ecotorq BS 6 diesel engine produces a peak power of around 74hp@4000rpm and a peak torque of 190.25Nm@1750-2250rpm. This engine is mated to either a 5 speed manual transmission or an AMT. This model gives a fuel efficiency of 25.35kmpl for the MT and 25.40 kmpl for the AMT.
The third engine option is for a 1.0 litre turbo GDI BS 6 petrol engine which produces a peak power of 98.63hp@6000 rpm and a peak torque of 171.62Nm@1500-4000rpm. This engine only gets a 5 speed MT and boasts of a fuel efficiency of 20.50kmpl.

As for the body, the Aura is built on a strong body structure with integrated 65per cent high strength steel or HSS. The ring structure design at engine bay, B-pillar and C-pillar increases static and dynamic stiffness for better rigidity.

The Hyundai Aura comes with an 8 inches touch screen infotainment with smart phone connectivity (Android Auto & Apple Car Play) along with Arkamys premium sound, a 5.3 inches digital speedometer and multi information display and wireless charger.
The car comes with cruise control, USB fast charger, rear ac vents, glove box cooling, air curtain, premium cabin with bronze colour inserts, driving rear view monitor for rear view display on screen while driving forward, iBlue audio remote smart phone app, besides other features.
The company is offering ‘wonder warranty’ with option of 3 years/100,000kms or 4 years/50,000kms or 5 years/ 40,000kms along with road side assistance.
