Isuzu
Motors India launched a new variant of the D-Max V-Cross lifestyle pick-up
vehicle. The V-Cross ‘Z-Prestige’ variant gets a 1.9 litre Ddi engine mated to
a ‘first in the segment’ 6-speed Automatic Transmission. The new limited
edition 1.9L Z-Prestige variant carries a price tag of Rs 19.99
lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The
new 1.9 litre engine developed by Isuzu produces around 148hp and 350 Nm of
Torque. Despite being smaller in displacement, the new 1.9 litre engine is more
powerful and fuel efficient. This variant of the V-Cross has been very
successful in many international markets.
V-Cross
has carved a niche in the Indian utility vehicle space and has played a
catalyst in the evolution of ‘Lifestyle of new-gen Indians’. The interiors of
the Z-Prestige variant now flaunt a two-tone Brown-Grey combination perforated
leather seats with soft parts on the dash and door trims. To make the most of
the journey, this variant has live-surround speakers on the roof too. The
Z-Prestige variant is equipped with 6-airbags (Driver, Front Passenger, Front
Side and Full-length Curtain) and BOS (Brake-Override System) thereby
comprehensively enhancing the safety aspects.
Since
its launch in the year 2016, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross – the only lifestyle
Pick-up in the country, has been garnering significant traction amongst Indian
customers. The V-Cross now will be available in three trim levels - ‘Standard
Grade’ and ‘High Grade (Z)’ and the limited edition ‘Z-Prestige’ variant. The
Z-Prestige variant comes in 4 colour options – Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red, Pearl
White and Cosmic Black, while the other variants will also be available in
Obsidian Grey and Titanium Silver.
The New V-Cross:
Inspired
by ‘Cyborg Orca’, the front of the new V-Cross carries a sporty looking grille
finely bundled with Bi-LED headlamps and distinctive sharp lines. It is sure to
draw a lot of attention to its presence on the road. The fog lamps adorned with
Chrome Bezel adds style to its function. The dynamic-looking Diamond Cut 18”
alloy wheels housed in flared wheel arches underline its agile stance. Its
silhouette is further enhanced with the sporty roof-rails and a new shark-fin
antenna. The newly designed side-step adds to the overall appeal and
functionality, while the all-black B-pillar lends to the ‘cool’ quotient. The
upgraded rear chrome bumper and embedded LED tail-lamps aptly complements the
new design lines flowing through the rear.
The
dual-cockpit design is further enhanced by the new instrument cluster housing a
new 3D Design Electroluminescent Meter and Gear Shift Indicators, providing
pertinent information to get the best out of the drive. The all-black dash and
trim on all variants makes the V-Cross sporty and contemporary.
The
well-appointed dashboard, centre console and door highlights have an enriched
appeal with the piano black garnish (Z-Prestige and Z variants). The door and
dash trims have soft parts adding to the comfort. The second row USB charging
port enables the rear seat occupants to charge their devices at their
convenience.
A
first-in-the-segment, the V-Cross is further enhanced with convenience and
safety features such as introduction of PESS (Passive Entry & Start-Stop
System). The PESS feature allows easy access to the vehicle while adding
convenience of starting and stopping the engine at the press of a button.
Continuing to provide the best in terms of Safety on the iGRIP platform, the
all new V-Cross is equipped with a host of safety features including the
seat-belt with pre-tensioner & load limiter, speed sensitive auto door
lock, co-driver seat belt reminder, HSA (Hill Start Assist) and HDC (Hill
Descent Control), offering the best driving experience on or off-road.
The
Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is the 2nd generation pick-up from ISUZU India’s stable,
currently available in overseas markets like Australia, Europe, Indonesia,
South America Thailand etc. Equipped with robust off-roading capabilities, the
V-Cross features the 4WD (shift-on-fly) drive mode system, High Ride suspension
that offers higher ground clearance, wider track with longer wheel base. The
chassis frame is designed with iGRIP feature (Isuzu Gravity Response
Intelligent Platform) ensures greater stability even at high speeds and sharp
curves.
The
V-Cross also comes with steering mounted audio controls and a 7” touch screen
audio system with USB input, DVD, AUX, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity. The
optimised door size largely helps in easy ingress and egress. The Isuzu D-Max
V-Cross has an edge over many new segment of utility vehicles in India as it
offers 5 seats, a large open deck that can carry luggage / equipment to suit the
needs of long road trips, adventure trips, vacations etc. The Isuzu D-Max
V-Cross is produced at the Isuzu Motors India manufacturing plant at SriCity,
Andhra Pradesh.
