Hyundai launches all new Grand i10 Nios at Rs 4.99 lakh onward

The Hyundai Signature “Cascading Grille” gives wider and stronger appeal to the front while rear low and wide proportioned bumper gives a sportier look for the Grand i10 Nios. The compact yet spacious interiors with upper crash pad appearing to be floating on the lower crash pad and the door trim character line flowing into the crash pad gives a wider and spacious interior feel.

The sporty front is complimented by unique boomerang shaped LED DRL’s and chrome surrounded projector fog lamps gives the car a wider stance. The aerodynamic side profile is complimented with the integrated roof rails, shark fin antenna while the sporty skid plate enhances the dynamic appeal of the rear.

The Grand i10 Nios has larger interior space with more headroom, legroom and shoulder room. The Grand i10 Nios offers good all round visibility and ensures comfort for all occupants. The wider rear windshield glass enhances the rear view from the IRVM.

The Grand i10 Nios will be available in four major trims with multiple powertrain options in 6 exterior colours including 3 new colours – Aqua Teal, Alpha Blue and Titan Grey with interior colour pack of Dual Tone Grey Interiors and 2 Dual Tone options will come with sporty black interiors with colour inserts - Aqua Teal and Red.

The Grand i10 Nios is equipped with the 1.2 l BS6 Petrol engine and 1.2 l U2Diesel engine with low vibrations, superior performance and high fuel efficiency. These are mated with option of MT and in-house developed Smart Auto AMT transmissions.

The Grand i10 Nios 1.2 l petrol engine is the first Hyundai model to offer BS 6 compliance in Hyundai range of products.

Ride & Handling

The Grand i10 Nios is equipped with balanced suspension system and confident steering to enhance ride comfort and ease of maneuverability to suit the India road conditions. The front suspension is mounted with McPherson Strut type with Urethane Bump Stopper that gives stability at rough road drives and reduces body roll giving improved cornering performance. The rear suspension uses Coupled Torsion Beam Axle with vertical shock absorber that minimises shock rebound providing a comfortable and stable ride. The advanced aerodynamics combined with Strong body structure and extensive use of sound absorbing materials ensures superior NVH isolation for a quiet and pleasant driving experience.

The Grand i10 Nios design elements have increased the overall stability of the car and with low Cd (Coefficient of Drag) 0.347 resulting high fuel economy.

The Grand i10 Nios will offer first-in-segment wireless phone charger, a 20.25 cm touch screen infotainment system - a multi-media system equipped with smart phone connectivity - Android Auto, Apple Car Play, Voice Recognition Function along with i-Blue Smartphone App Support. The car comes with first-in-segment Arkamys Premium Sound System with 4 modes to choose – Natural, Live, Lounge and Club.

The advanced Cluster display has a 13.46cm Digital Speedometer and Multi Information Display (MID) that provides information on Instantaneous Fuel Consumption, Trip meter, Distance to Empty, Average Fuel Consumption, Service Reminder and Average Vehicle Speed.

The application of 65% Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) + High Strength Steel (HSS), helps the vehicle achieve prominent static & dynamic stiffness with improved structural connectivity making it a Strong Body Structure.
