New Renault Captur now with enhanced safety & new advanced features

Renault India has launched its SUV - Captur with enhanced safety features in compliance with the regulations stipulated by the Indian authorities. The new Captur is equipped with numerous active and passive safety features across all variants along with a host of other new enhancements. The price of the new Renault Captur starts at Rs 9,49,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Renault Captur is available in RXE (Petrol & Diesel) and Platine Dual Tone (Petrol & Diesel).

ENHANCED SAFETY FEATURES

The new Renault Captur is certified to exceed frontal, lateral and pedestrian safety and is compliant with safety features stipulated by the Indian authorities. The reinforced body shell increases torsional rigidity to ensure passengers are always safe. The new Renault Captur is equipped with a host of active and passive safety features like dual airbags, Antilock-Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) & Brake Assist, Speed alert, Rear parking sensor, Driver & Co-Driver seat belt reminder, height adjustable seat-belts, lateral ISOFIX – child seat anchor, rear defogger, rear wiper & washer, and speed sensing auto door lock. All these safety features are standard across all versions of the new Renault Captur.

PREMIUM FEATURE LOADED

With a ground clearance of 210mm, the Renault Captur Platine comes equipped with auto headlamps and rain sensing wipers, besides, roof rails, rear parking camera with guidelines, cruise control with speed limiter and 17 inch Crystal Cut alloys. The new Auto fold ORVM with Welcome function is synced with the smart access card’s walk-away lock which makes entry & exit from the vehicle an absolute cakewalk.

The Platine is also loaded with the unique Innovated Lighting System (ILS) comprising the Sparkle Full LED headlamps, Floating Indicators, Sapphire LED DRL, Ripple Tail lamps accentuating the Captur’s signature design. In addition, the Platine offers six fashion inspired dual tone options, Moonlight Silver with Black roof being a new combination. Customers can also choose from three monotone colour options available in the RXE variant.

The Platine features ultra-premium black & ivory interiors with contrast accents & Black Leatherette seats. The intricately engineered Erg oDesign seats are 6-wayadjustable and come with ample legroom in both the front and back rows. The high driving position offers wraparound panoramic visibility. This is further complemented by convenient storage spaces, and a 392 litre boot that’s expandable up to 1352 litres.

Renault CAPTUR delivers the next level of drive experience enabled by the One Integration concept, Renault’s design approach that seamlessly connects the car and the driver. Renault Captur is equipped with modern hi-tech solutions which make driving connected, convenient and comfortable. These include an Infinity Instrument Cluster which provides a complete cockpit experience to the driver, a user-friendly and intelligent 17.64 cm touchscreen MediaNAV Evolution with Rear Parking Camera along with newly introduced Voice Recognition, Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Customers can now access an array of apps on their smartphones including advanced navigation through Google maps. It also features Eco Guide - a system that monitors driving patterns and provides guidelines to improve efficiency.

The Renault Captur is available with both petrol and diesel powertrain options. For the petrol option, it is powered by the 16 valves 4 cylinders 1.5L H4K petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, producing 106 PS at 5,600 rpm and 142 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The petrol powertrain delivers a mileage of 13.87 kmpl (ARAI certified).

The diesel version is powered by the 1.5L K9K diesel engine (common rail injection), mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, delivering a maximum power of 110 PS at 3,850 rpm and peak torque of 240 Nm at 1,750 rpm. The diesel powertrain delivers a mileage of 20.37 kmpl (ARAI certified).
