Ford India has introduced the 2019 edition of the premium SUV Endeavour at a starting price of Rs 28.19 lakh. The new
Endeavour comes with a new design front bumper and chrome plated bold
trapezoidal grille. Both rear and front bumpers have integrated skid plates to
protect the car’s underbody even in extreme off-road conditions. It has new
design 18-inch alloy wheels. The ORVMs feature puddle lamps.
The
Ford Endeavour’s wheelbase and length are significantly longer than competing
models. As part of the new content, the new Endeavour introduces 8-way Power
adjustable driver & front passenger seat.

The
new Endeavour features first-in-class active noise cancellation, a technology
used in noise-cancelling headphones to help reduce low-frequency engine sounds
from entering the cabin. The new Ford Endeavour also hold on to its promise of
being the only premium SUV to feature a panoramic sun-roof, covering up to 50%
of the roof space.
The
practical interior design in the new Ford Endeavour continues to offer flexible
seating and cargo arrangements – including fold-flat second- and first-in-class
power-fold third-row that instantly flattens at the touch of a button and can
hold up to 2,010 litres of cargo with rear seats folded.
The
interior environment continued to be plush, modern and premium with extensive
use of leather. The New Ford Endeavour comes packed with a wide array of
convenience technologies. It will be the only SUV in its segment to offer
Hands-Free Power Lift Gate, enabling owners to open the premium SUVs boot by
triggering a sensor in the rear at a simple motion of their foot. The feature is
really useful when your hands are full of bags from an adventure or a family
holiday.
The
SUV features Ford’s renowned in-car connectivity technology SYNC 3, that allows
drivers to use simple voice commands to control the car’s entertainment system,
make or receive calls and connect mobile devices. SYNC 3 is paired to an 8-inch
touchscreen that has been rated as one of the best in India across vehicle
categories. The system is also Apple CarPlay and Google Auto compatible.
To
reduce parking anxiety, it offers Semi-Auto Parallel Park Assist that helps
locate the right sized parking spot and steers the SUV effortlessly at the
touch of a button.
Push
start button, and keyless entry along with a host of smart features such as
rear and front parking sensors, rear parking camera, automatic headlamps,
automatic wipers, DRLs, dual-zone automatic climate control also get offered
across the range.
The
New Ford Endeavour’ will give customers an option to choose from Ford’s two,
fun-to-drive diesel engines -- 2.2-litre four-cylinder TDCi and 3.2-litre
five-cylinder TDCi. Customers looking for optimum fuel economy without
compromising performance can choose the 2.2-litre diesel motor that puts out
160PS of power and 385 Nm of torque. This engine will now be paired to a six-speed
manual transmission as well along with automatic. With the new introduction of
a manual transmission, the 2.2L engine will deliver 14.2 Km/L fuel economy. The
Automatic transmission will continue delivering a fuel economy of 12.62 Km/L.
For
customers who want unmatched performance, Ford continues to offer its 3.2-
diesel engine that generates 200PS of power and 470 Nm of torque. This engine
has been tuned to deliver maximum power and torque and is perfect for frequent
off-road adventures.
With
a simplified variant lineup, the New Endeavour is now available in three-trims
– 2.2L Titanium Manual, 2.2L Titanium+ Automatic and 3.2L Titanium+ Automatic.
The
new Endeavour will come with a 3-year or 100,000 KM warranty and a scheduled
service and ownership cost of 68 paisa / 100,000 KM (2.2L) and 71.5 Paisa
(3.2L) respectively.
Master Any Terrain with Confidence
The
true, blue SUV will continue to be a performance leader, featuring a clever
four-wheel-drive system, an active transfer case with Torque on demand,
first-in-segment Terrain Management System, and the impressive water-wading
capacity of 800 mm along with outstanding ground clearance.
The
Advanced Terrain Management System (TMS) allows drivers to choose from four
preset modes – Normal, Snow/Mud/Grass, Sand and Rock – that alter the vehicle’s
throttle response, transmission, four-wheel drive system and traction control
to confidently tackle any situation.
Featuring
a strong passenger cage and up to seven airbags, including a driver
knee-airbag, the new Ford Endeavour will offer outstanding safety. Six airbags
will be standard equipment across the model lineup to ensure complete peace of
mind, no matter which variant customers prefer.
The
SUV will also feature Hill Launch Assist and Hill Descent Control that make
steep uphill or downhill climbs more convenient and easier for drivers. The New
Ford Endeavour will be available in five colours, including brand new Diffused
Silver as well as Sunset Red, Diamond White, Absolute Black and Moondust
Silver. The premium SUV is assembled at Ford’s integrated manufacturing
facility in Chennai.
