Lexus has launched their flagship SUV, the LX 570 in India
for Rs 2,32,94,000 (ex-showroom). Bookings for the LX 570 are now open. The
latest addition to the company’s lineup is a blend of luxury and all terrain
performance and comes powered by a massive 5.7-liter V8 petrol engine and gets
a powerful frame and multi-terrain adjustment systems.
The LX 570 makes a stunning impression through signature
Lexus design elements such as the spindle grille and the L-shaped illumination
of the triple LED headlights. You also get side steps for easy access into the
cabin along with a moonroof and roof rails. Inside, the mark of the Takumi is
evident in the superior semi aniline leather interiors and the Shimamoku trim
on the steering wheel. The Lexus spirit of hospitality, or omotenashi, is
expressed in the interior of the LX 570 with the inclusion of a spacious cabin,
silky white LED lighting, Climate Control , premium 19 speaker Mark Levinson surround
sound system, high-definition 11.6-inch liquid crystal AI (Artificial
Intelligence) displays for rear seats
and ambient illumination integrated in the doors. The 2018 LX 570 also
introduces third row seating which can transform easily to additional cargo
space if needed.
“The performance and perfection of the 2018 LX embody the
highest expression of Lexus engineering and design in an SUV and delivers for
the Indian road in ways not previously seen. The addition of the LX 570 to our
line-up in India offers our guests a striking vehicle with a commanding
presence on the road, and exceptional ride quality to match. This is a car
built for those who navigate life’s twists and turns with ease and authority,”
said N Raja, Chairman, Lexus India.
The V8 motor comes mated to an 8-speed automatic
transmission that is capable of churning out 362hp @ 5600rpm and 530Nm @
3200rpm. This top of the line SUV from Lexus is more than capable of tackling
all kinds of terrain with its 4WD system, multi-terrain system with active
traction control system, 225mm ground clearance and hill start assist among a
host of other features. The frame is designed to separate the suspension from
the body shell, helping to prevent noise and vibration from entering the cabin.
There is a 5-speed Crawl Control which intelligently adjusts the torque and
brakes on each wheel independently, allowing the driver to focus fully on
steering.
“The LX 570 brings a combination of power, performance and
perfection that will make a head-turning impression on Indian roads. It’s built
to tackle all the unpredictability of uneven terrains and to deliver the
hallmarks of Lexus luxury,” said PB Venugopal, President, Lexus India, adding
that “The 2018 LX delivers the power and dynamic presence of a 4WD with the technological
innovations that deliver an exceptional drive.”
