The all-new BMW X3 is available in Expedition scheme and
also in the new Luxury Line design scheme. The latter costs Rs 56,70,000, ex
showroom. The new BMW X3 comes with enhanced sporting prowess with BMW xDrive
and an intelligent all-wheel drive system. The intelligent lightweight
construction reduces 55kg as compared to its predecessor.
The vehicle is
available in a locally-produced diesel variant, while a petrol variant will be
launched later in 2018. The two-litre four-cylinder diesel engine of the
all-new BMW X3 xDrive 20d produces an output of 190hp and a peak torque of
400Nm at 1750-2500rpm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100km per hour in just 8
seconds. The engine is mated to an eight-speed steptronic automatic
transmission. The car comes with steering wheel paddle shifters.
The all-new BMW X3 has a compelling front with a boldly
enhanced distinctive double kidney grille. Fully adaptive LED headlights and
LED fog lamps feature a new hexagonal design. At the rear there are LED
taillights combined with a low slung roof spoiler and exhaust tail pipes on
both sides in chrome. Automatic tailgate operation allows convenient opening
and closing of the tailgate.
The Luxury Line comes with chrome radiator grille bars,
two-tone underbody protection in frozen grey matt with chrome trim, air
breather in chrome and 19” light alloy wheels.
As for the interiors, there is also this exquisitely
embossed X logo in the elegant chrome located on the doors and the centre
console. A lot of storage spaces have been created inside. The cabin is well
insulated for cutting out noise and there are adjustable rear seat backrest,
rear window sunblind and enlarged panoramic roof. The luggage compartment has a
capacity of 550 litres, expandable to 1600 litres thanks to a 40/20/40split
including \through loading system. For the Luxury Line, there is leather
upholstery in Vernasca, a sensatic-covered instrument panel with contrast
stitching and fine-wood trim in poplar gain grey.
Game-changing technologies in the all-new BMW X3 include the
BMW Display Key that allows drivers to keep in contact with their round the
clock. Then there is the Welcome Light Carpet which is projected from the side
sill, rear view camera with park assist which assists in parking or manoeuvring
into parallel or lateral space. The smartphone holder integrated into the
centre console allows inductive, wireless charging for mobile phones and the
BMW Display key.
