Mercedes-Benz India has launched the limited ‘Edition 463’ of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 and the quickest performance SUV in the segment, the new Mercedes-AMG GLS 63. The vehicle can do a 0 to 100 kmph in 4.6 seconds.
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 ‘Edition 463’ is priced at Rs 2.17 crore and the Mercedes- AMG GLS 63 is priced from Rs 1.58 crore onwards (prices ex-showroom Pune)
The vehicles come with 5 AMG Dynamic Select transmission modes, "Slippery“, "Individual“, "Comfort“, "Sport“ and "Sport+“. The AMG Ride Control sports suspension with Airmatic air suspension and automatic level control is fitted with the special spring struts of the infinitely variable ADS Plus damping system
Both the SUVs have been launched under the Mercedes-Benz ‘designo’ platform, which allows customers plethora of combinations for customiSation and personalisation
Mercedes-AMG G 63: Off-roader with the heart of an AMG sports car
The AMG G 63 ‘Edition 463’ is equipped with a supercharged 5.5-litre V8-engine developing engine which delivers 572 hp and a peak torque of 760 Nm. The vehicle gets AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic transmission. It does a 0 to 100 kmph in 5.4 seconds and has an (electronically limited) top speed of 210 kmph. It sits on 21-inch, 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, matt black with high-sheen rim flange
The combination of three 100% differential locks, an off-road reduction gear and the Electronic Traction System 4ETS is unique in this segment, and makes for outstanding off-roading capabilities. The Mercedes-AMG G 63 has a load capacity of up to 2250 litres and a massive towing capacity up to 3500 kg.
