Maruti Suzuki, India's most sold car brand
has launched their latest offering, the Dzire sedan in the Indian market for
Rs. 5,45,000 (ex-showroom Delhi)
onward. The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets more premium looks and features a bold
new design philosophy built around their HEARTECT platform. This is a 5th
generation B-Segment platform which is light and strong for enhanced
performance and safety.
2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Launch Price
The Dzire compact sedan is the latest
offering in this segment which witnessed quite a few launches like the Hyundai
Xcent which was launched for a starting price of Rs. 5.38 lakh (ex-showroom
Delhi) and the Tata Tigor which has been launched for a more affordable price
tag of Rs. 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Maruti has priced the petrol variant
of the DZire for Rs. 5.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) onward while the diesel
variant is available starting from Rs. 6.45
lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Engines Option
Maruti Suzuki is offering the same 1.2L VVT
petrol and the 1.3L DDiS diesel engines on the new 2017 Dzire sedan. While the
1.2L petrol engine puts out 83.12bhp at 6000rpm and 115Nm of torque at 4000rpm
while the diesel 1.3L diesel engine 73.95bhp at 4000rpm and 190Nm at 2000rpm. The
previous model of the Dzire sedan returns fuel efficiency figures of 26.59kmpl
for the diesel engine while the petrol version returns 20.85kmpl, the new
vehicle will have mileage figures close to the above stated figures. The new
2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire will come with AGS automatic transmission options for
both the diesel and the petrol versions.
2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Features
The new 2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets a
host of new features and technology, on offer are features like LED projector
headlamps, LED DRLs, rear LED lamps, large infotainment touch screen display
with bluetooth, AUX and USB connectivity, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and
MirrorLink support, rear AC vents, push button start stop, automatic climate
control, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs, steering mounted
controls, voice commands, flat bottom steering wheel, parking sensors, rear
centre armrest with cup holders, automatic headlamps, auto power driver window,
height adjustable drive seat and much more.
2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Dimensions and Space
In terms of dimensions the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is 3995mm long, 1515mm tall and 1735mm wide. The 2017 Dzire compact sedan gets longer wheelbase than the previous version, the new wheelbase stands at 2450mm. Maruti has also decreased the vehicles height by 40mm the seat height as well has increased by 21mm and the tandem distance between front and rear seats also have been increased. The new 2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is also wider than the previous version by 40mm while the rear shoulder room gets an increase of 30mm the front passenger shoulder room has been increased by 20mm. Maruti has also increased boot space of the new 2017 Dzire compact sedan, the new boot space stands at 376 litres as opposed to the previous 316 litres. The ground clearance has also seen a drop from the previous version and the vehicles clearance now stands at 163mm as opposed to the previous 170mm.

2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Safety Features
The new 2017 Dzire compact sedan gets safety features which have been implemented keeping an eye on the future of policy change in the country. The new 5th generation HEARTECT platform also improves the rigidity, strength and crash safety of the new Dzire. Maruti has also ensure pedestrian, driver and passenger safety compliance is met on the new Dzire sedan. The compliance is for front offset impact, side impact and pedestrian impact. The norms are not yet regularised in India, however Maruti Suzuki has introduced them before hand on the new Dzire in a bid to ensure the safety of their patrons. Apart from these Maruti has also included features like -- dual airbags, ABS, EBD and ISOFIX mounts as standard fitment across all variants.

Maruti is offering the new 2017 Dzire compact sedan in 6 different colour options -- Oxford Blue, Sherwood Brown, Gallant Red, Magma Grey, Silky Silver and Arctic White.
