Kawasaki Motors (IKM) has launched two of its naked models, the ER-6n and the
Z250, in India. The ER-6n will have a price tag Rs. 4,78,000/- and the Z250
will cost Rs. 2,99,000/-. All prices are ex-Showroom Delhi.
With the
ER-6n and the Z250, IKM plans to further strengthen its presence in the premium
two-wheeler market in India. Both of the new bikes will be imported as CKD
(completely knocked down) units from Thailand. IKM will manufacture the ER-6n
and the Z250 and retail the bikes through the existing Probiking Showrooms
operated by Bajaj Auto Limited.
Commenting on
the launch, Yoshitaka Tamura, Managing Director, IKM said that due to the
positive response from the previously launched five Kawasaki superbikes, now
the ER-6n and the Z250, two globally renowned bikes, will make Kawasaki more
affordable for the Indian consumers as the premium two-wheeler market offers
tremendous growth opportunities.
Kawasaki had
launched the Ninja ZX-14R, ZX-10R, Ninja1000, Z1000 and Z800 marketed through
its exclusive Kawasaki network. This time, these two new models of ER-6n and
Z250 are targeted to strengthen model lineup of Probiking sales network which
are currently marketing Ninja300 and Ninja650.
