Lansdowne Norton, in Birmingham, in 1898, Norton Motorcycles is among the most
popular British motorcycle brands of all time and is one of the most emotive
marques today.

The
acquisition was undertaken under the guidance of financial advisors, Rothschild
and Co, and legal advice for the transaction was provided by Khaitan &Co,
and Slaughter and May.
NORTON PRODUCTS:The new Norton V4 RR is powered by
a Norton 72-degree liquid-cooled V4, 1200cc engine. It has Titanium inlet
valves and a slipper clutch. The liquid cooled engine produces an output of 200bhp
+ @ 12,500rpm and a peak torque of 130Nm @ 10,000rpm. It has an electronic
fuel-injection system. The Dominator model
is powered by an In-house developed parallel twin engine with dry sump
lubrication. The 961cc air/oil cooled engine produces around 80PS@ 6500rpm and
a peak torque of 90Nm@ 5200rpm
