Suzuki Motorcycles of Japan showed the Suzuki Ryuyo at the 76th edition of the International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition (EICMA) in Milan, Italy from November 6 to November 11, 2018
This race-ready motorcycle derives its name from the Japanese brand’s test track. Built by Suzuki Italia in collaboration with some companies leaders in the tuning sector, this new bike is a GSX-R1000R model specifically conceived to race on the track. Its winning points are many: all-carbon fiber fairing, Öhlins racing steering damper, Brembo T—Drive brake unit, Dunlop KR tyres, Yoshimura titanium exhaust and K&N racing air filter, just to name a few. With an output of 212 hp and its exceptionally light weight (168 kg only) it makes it the best bike for racetrack lovers.
Suzuki Katana: Suzuki also played tribute to its legendary Katana model updating both the looks and level of performance to a higher standard for today’s street scene. Distinctive new LED headlight and full LCD brightness-adjustable instrument cluster are all modern details carefully integrated in an evocative design. The new Katana takes advantage of the mechanical GSX-S1000 platform, starting from the engine: a 999 cc 4-cylinder capable of 149.6 hp at 10000 rpm. The new exhaust system delivers an exciting exhaust note and contributes to powerful performance. Electronic devices are confirmed and include 3-mode traction control system and ABS. The chassis features a twin-spar aluminum alloy frame, Kayaba suspension system and Brembo brakes. Wet weight for the new Suzuki Katana is declared to be 215 kg.
