The company introduced a new 300 HPE engine, delivering more
than 23 hp, the most powerful and efficient in Vespa history. This version made
its debut with a colour TFT Instrument Cluster And Integrated Navigation
System.
The new Vespa GTS range, packed with standard equipment, now
comprises five versions: Vespa GTS, GTS Touring, GTS Super, GTS SuperSport and
the brand-new, technological Vespa GTS SuperTech, with colour TFT display that
maximises connectivity to the smartphone with the VESPA MIA system.
Two engine sizes are available, the already well-known and
appreciated 125 i-get single-cylinder is now joined by the new 300 hpe (High
Performance Engine), fruit of the latest Piaggio Group technology, which aims
to create engines that are increasingly advanced and efficient in terms of
limiting emissions and consumption. Able to deliver more than 23 HP, this is
the most powerful engine ever adopted by a Vespa.

Elettrica: Though
this has been around for some time, Piaggio’s Vespa showcased the electric
version of the Vespa scooter, the Vespa Elettrica. With modern lithium ion
battery and an efficient Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), the scooter can
reach 100 km range on a single charge, while the X version of the model can
reach 200km on a single charge. The
heart of Vespa Elettrica is a Power Unit capable of delivering continuous power
of 3.5 kW and peak power of 4 kW: values that, combined with a torque of over
200 Nm, provide performance superior to that of a traditional 50 cc scooter,
especially in terms of acceleration and uphill power that benefits from the typical
quick output of electric motors. In fact, Vespa Elettrica is completely silent,
helping to make cities less chaotic and more liveable, countering pollution
even in terms of noise.
