It is equipped with 660 cc parallel twin-cylinder, a very
compact new generation unit derived from the 1100 cc V4. This steed, which will
be however available with a standard components, represents a mid-sized sporty
alternative featuring an excellent quality-price ratio. Furthermore the RS 660
project is the development base for a wider range that intends to make Aprilia
a key player in a strategic market segment.
The new Aprilia RSV4
1100 Factory has a displacement of 1,078 cc, with a simultaneous increase
in power to 217 horsepower. The aerodynamic add-ons are standard, the already
excellent electronic equipment has been evolved. There has been an extensive
use of carbon fibre for front fender, side panels, exhaust protection and
winglets. The colour is unique, of a total black matt paint. The new
distribution of weights is added to the V4 engine, which increases the load on
the front axle. The swingarm is firmer, the Brembo callipers are the new Style
and amongst the options there is even a pair of conveyors to reduce the
temperature of the brake discs. The electronic equipment of the APRC package
(Aprilia Performance Ride Control) has been refined to be even more effective
on the road and on the track. As standard, along with many other controls, the
ABS Cornering, the Pit Limiter and three engine maps. The weight in running
order with fuel is at 199 kg.
Among the sporty maxi naked ever conceived, the 2019 Aprilia Tuono 1100 Factory edition has acquired a lot more technology. As a
matter of fact it will be equipped with the prestigious semi-active Smart EC
2.0 electronic suspension system, an exclusive component developed by Öhlins
and available only on high range supersporty motorbikes. This particular Smart
EC 2.0 system offers different solutions. In the semi-active mode, suspension
performance is managed by the Smart EC 2.0 system which intervenes on the data
transmitted from the vehicle to the dedicated ECU in real time. In the manual
mode, on the other hand, the 3 Riding Modes (Track, Sport, Road) provide as
many predefined calibration types without semi-active assistance, therefore in
the same way that mechanical type suspension systems operate. The “V4” engine
with 1.077 cc and capable of 175 hp has been confirmed.
Aprilia Group has updated its RSV4RR and Shiver 900
models with new graphics. The super sport bike from Noale is now available in
two all-new color options, both offered with red wheels: the “Nero Arrabbiata”
and the “Grigio Rivazza” , entitled to the famous turns respectively in Mugello
and Imola circuits . The 2019 Aprilia
Shiver 900 is now dressed in red and black and marks the debut of the
Aprilia Multimedia Platform. This exclusive system ensures connectivity with
the Smartphone, to allow for all call information to be displayed directly on
the display, as well as intercom information and any music tracks that may be
playing. By connecting to the Smartphone using the dedicated App, the display
also becomes a navigation tool.
