The vehicle comes with a modern design featuring LED
lighting system and wide windshield. Keyless Ride system and under-seat storage
with two different compartments are available as-standard features. The
full-colour TFT instrumentation, also capable of connecting the bike to the
rider’s smartphone, is available as-optional feature. The BMW C 400 GT is
powered by a 350 cc engine with 34 hp at 7.500 rpm and also gets Automatic
Stability Control (ASC). The wheel size in front is 120/70-15 and 150/70-14 at
the rear. It has a claimed dry weight of 212 kg.
BMW displayed its revised R 1250 RS sport tourer with a brand new variable camshaft control
BMW ShiftCam. The new bike is equipped with a 1254 cc engine capable of 136 hp
at 7750 rpm and 143 Nm at 6250 rpm. On the design front, the BMW R 1250 RS
gains a sleeker windshield along with two LED lights. Two Riding Modes (Rain
and Road), ASC (Automatic Stability Control), HSC (Hill Start Control), ABS
Pro, DBC (Dynamic Brake Control) and full-color instrumentation are as-standard
electronics features. Advanced riding setting and semi-active Dynamic ESA Next
Generation suspension are available as-optional.
Among the new sports bikes featured at EICMA 2018, the S 1000 RR. The designers have
revised almost all components, starting with the engine: the newly designed,
four-cylinder engine is the new RR power train. And thanks to the new BMW
ShiftCam technology the peak output increased to 207 hp at 13,500 rpm.
Electronics are even more advanced than in the past thanks to the latest 6-axis
sensor technology and torque precontrol, DTC support is particularly smooth and
powerful, providing data to the control unit that regulates ABS and DDC
(Dynamic Damping Control), traction control (DTC) incl. wheelie and DBC
(Dynamic Brake Control). In addition to the four standard modes Rain, Road,
Dynamic and Race, that already cover numerous riding styles in a variety of
conditions, the three additional modes Race Pro 1, Race Pro 2 and RACE PRO 3,
with Launch Control, Pitlane Limiter, HSC Pro (Hill Start Control Pro) and DBC
(Dynamic Brake Control), make it easier for the racers. The new perimeter frame
is more compact and works with semi-active suspension (optional). Weight is
once more reduced by around 3.5 kg down to a mere 193.5 kg if you choose the
optional carbon rims. Full-colour 6.5" TFT display has been included.
BMW has strongly upgraded its most iconic bike. The boxer
engine in the new BMW R 1250 GS takes
a significant step further achieving 1254 cc and gaining variable valve timing
system. The new engine offers improved performance, reduced emission and
complies with the brad new Euro 5 standard directives. The bike comes with increased
output and torque - 136 hp at 7750 rpm and 143 Nm at 6250 rpm . Standard equipment
includes: full LED lamps, full-colour TFT screen and many more features like
the Dynamic Brake Control. The motorcycle is available in two versions: the
more elegant Executive and the more sporty HP. This last model is offered with
finely wrought cross-spoke wheels and a more active riding look (as optional).
BMW had on display a new BMW F 850 GS Adventure. The highlights of this bike include a powerful
2-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 853 cc and 70 95 hp at 8250
rpm and 92 Nm at 6250 rpm. The engine emits a very powerful, emotional sound
due to crankshaft with 90-degree crankpin offset and 270/450-degree ignition
spacing. The bike has a new steel bridge frame for increased robustness and
riding precision. The motorcycle comes with a new upside-down telescopic fork
plus aluminium two-sided swinging arm with central spring strut for an even
more sensitive response. ABS, ASC and the riding modes “Rain” and “Road” come
as standard while riding modes Pro with ABS Pro and dynamic brake light, DTC
and the new riding modes “Dynamic”, “Enduro” and “Enduro Pro” come as optional
equipment. The new BMW F850 GS Adventure has a new onboard electrical system
with more powerful alternator and starter, LED headlamp as standard and LED
daytime riding light and LED additional light as optional equipment. Connectivity
with multifunctional instrument cluster include a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT
screen and numerous features as an optional equipment feature. The motorcycle
comes with a 23 litre fuel tank for ranges up to 550 kilometres and more.
